What is February Frostbite?

February Frostbite, is an encore of the Montana Tango Festival to dig deeper in the instruction Adam and Marina brought to us all last September. Get ready to embrace the chilly weather and warm up to this Tango Event. This event promises 4 Classes and Two milongas, with Marina DJing Grand Milonga.

Friday February 23rd

 

Class 1 - 6:30 PM - Tango Posture for Comfort and Longevity:

​

From the teachings of Esther Gohkale, a world-renowned posture expert, Adam has incorporated this information in order to optimize his dance posture for the comfort of his partner in the longevity of his own body. In this class we will be focusing on these aspects. 

​

Milonga - 8:00 pm to 12:00 midnight - DJ Rob

Saturday February 24th

​

Class 2 -10:30-11:45 AM Milonga Musicality:

 

Exploring different rhythmical characteristics of milonga. After this class you may or may not dance differently but you will certainly listen to milonga music differently, to explore tango furthe.

Class 3 - 1:00 - 2:15 PM Vaivens:

​

This category of movements, often elusive to  North Americans, is something that Adam has been studying for years. Some people consider a Vaiven as a characteristic and others consider it as a full walking pattern. We will be exploring this from concept to practice. 

​

Class 4 - 2:30-3:45 PM Pepito:

​

Pepito's classic entrance and figures. Another historical class from Adam and Marina that is sure to challenge your tango and hopefully inspire your interest in los milongueros viejos.

Grand Milonga - 8:30 PM to 1:00 AM DJ Marina
