@oscar_casas_art has a distinct style both in his dance and his teaching. He teaches with energy and humor, emphasizing concepts in the art of improvisation.

@jygtango is the founder of Tango Utopia in the greater Raleigh/Durham area. She is recognized as one of the premier teachers, dancers, and DJ's as well as the organizer of the monthly Milonga Utopia and the weekly practicas.

@jamesvalentino22 & @dagnyarizona are an Argentine Tango partnership that lives at the crossroads of contrast and chemistry.

Teaching and performing at major festivals and marathons across the U.S. since 2021, their work is defined by improvisation, musical curiosity, and a fearless embrace of individuality.

James brings an untraditional, earth-driven approach shaped by hip-hop, Latin dance, and street-rooted movement. Dagny counters with a refined foundation in tango and ballet - light, classical, and exquisitely articulate. Where James bends rules, Dagny clarifies them. Where Dagny floats, James grounds.

This contrast is not a challenge, it’s the source of their magic.

Their shared strength lies in real-time communication, adaptability, and trust, allowing them to explore tango beyond fixed aesthetics while remaining deeply connected to its essence. Together, they naturally gravitated toward the alternative tango crossroads, not as a departure from tradition, but as an expansion of it.
