There are some great places to stay in Missoula. Whether you are booking a hotel or an Airbnb, you can stay almost anywhere in Missoula and get to the festival venue in a 15-20 minute car ride or Uber.

The Elks Lodge is a 10-minute drive from the Missoula airport (MSO). The neighborhood around the festival venue is very safe to walk, even late at night, and there are some great places to stay within walking distance of downtown. Below are a few of our recommendations.

@jamesvalentino22 & @dagnyarizona are an Argentine Tango partnership that lives at the crossroads of contrast and chemistry.

Teaching and performing at major festivals and marathons across the U.S. since 2021, their work is defined by improvisation, musical curiosity, and a fearless embrace of individuality.

James brings an untraditional, earth-driven approach shaped by hip-hop, Latin dance, and street-rooted movement. Dagny counters with a refined foundation in tango and ballet - light, classical, and exquisitely articulate. Where James bends rules, Dagny clarifies them. Where Dagny floats, James grounds.

This contrast is not a challenge, it’s the source of their magic.

Their shared strength lies in real-time communication, adaptability, and trust, allowing them to explore tango beyond fixed aesthetics while remaining deeply connected to its essence. Together, they naturally gravitated toward the alternative tango crossroads, not as a departure from tradition, but as an expansion of it.
